Why we help women with Bobby!
Welcome to our Q+A series, where the co-founders of BobbyChat, Claire and Toni, answer your questions!
The first question we’re answering is this: “Curious- why women? Do they experience burnout differently? Or is it based from your own experiences as female co-founders?”
Thank you for your question and we’re delighted you’ve asked this question! Our mission of creating an app to help women successfully navigate their workplace challenges, and building a successful female-led tech company is one that is very close to our heart.
One of the first things that we discussed when we first started working together was who to help. It was important to both of us that we were able to help the people that were most at risk of burnout, which, according to data, is women. That’s not to say that men don’t experience burnout or workplace stress, rather we really wanted to specifically target the biggest need with the demographics most at risk, and those that face the biggest systemic challenges in the workplace.
Both of us come from sectors (medicine and tech) where women face very specific workplace challenges that directly affect their burnout risk and mental wellbeing. We really understand the issues that women face in the workplace, and because we really get it, we know that we can build an app that will become an essential for all professional women to stay well and thrive in their careers. This is the tool that both of us wish we’d had at work!
We both feel very passionately about diversity and inclusion, and are committed to building a company that has these values at its core.
We hope this has answered your question. Here at BobbyChat we are on a mission to help women’s work lives work for them! We invite you to join us on this journey and make it the best tool for supporting women in the workplace.
